Learning Object Repository Network (LORN)

The new e-learning resource portal, LORN, offers a single point of access to e-learning resources developed specifically for the Australian vocational education and training system. Trainers and assessors looking for resources can search the LORN site by keyword, competency, industry or licence type. All resources are copyright-cleared and conform to leading Quality Training Product Standards. They are either free or incur a small cost. Nald@work

A recently launched Canadian web resource that provides an employer-friendly interface into the Canadian National Adult Literacy Database (NALD). Service Industries Skills Council (Service Skills Australia)

Service Skills Australia is the Industry Skills Council for the Australian service industries. The Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP)

The LLNP provides language, literacy and numeracy training for eligible clients. The program seeks to improve clients' language, literacy and/or numeracy with the expectation that such improvements will enable them to participate more effectively in training or in the labour force and lead to greater gains for society in the longer term. Eligible clients are referred to an LLNP provider by Referring Agencies, currently Centrelink and Job Network Members. The Reading and Writing Hotline

The reading and writing hotline is a national telephone adult literacy referral service, funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training.
Experienced teachers can provide callers with advice on ways to improve reading, writing, and numeracy skills and give information on adult literacy and numeracy classes in your local area.

VOCED Database

Find out what resources have been produced from the Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) Programme and the Adult Literacy National Project (ALNP) by visiting VOCED, a free research database for technical and vocational education and training. Visiting the site will provide you with bibliographic records of resources, including author, title, date, publication type, abstract, subject headings and an availability statement about where the resources can be purchased or borrowed: http://www.voced.edu.au/.

Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) Programme
